Saïd Business School builder apologises for SNAFU

The senior project manager responsible for managing the reconstructure of the Old Power Station in Oxford on behalf of the Saïd Business School sent a fulsome apology after major disruption his company caused on Mill Street, last week.

Andy Cowlishaw, senior project manager at building firm GRAHAM (all caps), admitted that a contractor hired by his firm “mounted the low loader trailer onto the footpath of Mill Street very close to residents’ front doors and entirely blocking the pedestrian footpath.”

Meanwhile, separately, several residents on Osney Island and in Mill Street, Arthur Street, Russell Street are reporting cracks appearing in their homes.

“We appreciate this would have been unsettling for residents…so we wanted to address this directly and advise you of improvements we are making”, Cowlishaw said.

We  believe he has seen several videos of the incident taken by a local resident. You can see one of the flicks below.

He said that his firm is taking steps to “learn” lessons.

The re-development of the Old Power Station involves GRAHAM demolishing part of a very large Victorian building and turning it into a local paradise for students wishing to become MBAs under the auspices of the business school.

Local residents can contact GRAHAM (big caps) at .  The letter actually gives the power station line as osneypowerstaion.enquiries@graham.co.uk. But that’s probably a typo and maybe the correct email address is osneypowerstation.enquiries@graham.co.uk  Ψ
